Posted March 27, 2020By Jonathan A. Karon
Like the rest of us, the Court system is still coming to grips with how to manage the challenges of the coronavirus outbreak. Presently, all jury trials in Massachusetts have been postponed until at least April 21, 2020. For the time being, it appears that Massachusetts Courts are handling emergency issues only. Here is a useful link to all the Massachusetts Court orders regarding coronavirus issues. https://www.mass.gov/guides/court-system-response-to-covid-19
I anticipate that in the next few weeks the Courts will issue additional orders to allow parties to resume litigating their cases. In the meantime, I am continuing to practice law remotely (in accordance with Governor Baker’s Order). The best way to reach me is by e-mail to jakaron@karonlaw.net. I am also regularly checking my office voice mail at (617) 367-0570.
Stay healthy.
